I believe in love and the beauty of a wonderful marriage! So why not start it off with a wonderful wedding! I chose a profession in wedding planning so that I could help couples celebrate their love on one of the most special days of their lives. I continue to work weddings because I learned that they have touched my life as well! I want to be a part of your wedding planning process, so LET'S TIE THE KNOTS!

WOW
what a year
2012 has been one of the best years of my life (so far)
I am so grateful for all of the amazing clients who let me into their lives and trusted me with the biggest and most special days! I can never thank you enough for your open arms and open hearts!
I can’t write this post without also thanking all of those amazing people who helped me to make these clients happy! To my assistants and my vendors, what can I say to show you just how appreciative I am for all that you have done to help me execute perfect and gorgeous weddings– thanks from the bottom of my heart is still not deep enough!
We’re also starting off the new year with one of the biggest honors since I opened Tying the Knot! On January 1st, Unveiled Magazine hits stands with a FOUR PAGE SPREAD of a photo shoot that I designed from my own family inspirations to show other brides how easy it is to make your wedding feel like your own! A million thanks to Greer of Greer G Photography for the stunning images, Eric and Carolyn of Bee’s Weddings and Events Floral Designs for super unique and texturally amazing florals, Lisa and Jason of Luminous Events for the gorgeous glow your candles gave the images, Maria of Tupelo Honey for the incredible hand painted stationery, my dear friend Ginger of ColorBar Salon for amazing hair, Ashley Melzer Sievert for a beautiful face of make up, for my two amazing models who spent a night in my shoes as our bride and groom to be, and of course Race and Religious for opening your doors and letting us come in! Please allow this gorgeous cover to be a snippet of the gorgeousness inside!
This NYE, I will be ringing in the new year the best way that I know how… by working a wedding! I hope that is a sign of the many more successful weddings that are to come in 2013!
Bring it on new year… I’m ready for you
This blushing beauty married the man of her dreams this weekend at a beautiful garden venue in Baton Rouge! I am so honored to have been a part of it! Their written vows made everyone tear up as they both proclaimed their love for each other and tied the knot (literally)! They had an amazing knot tying ceremony performed with a rope from the sailboat that the bride’s parents used to own!! Needless to say, I LOVED this wedding!
So so SO many incredible touches and details to this one and I can’t wait to share them all with you! As you can tell by these amazing bridals, Ashleigh Jayne Photography is just AH-MAZING and the wedding photos are sure to be knockouts!
Stay tuned for more stunners…
I have a confession to make (that I’m sure you are all well aware of!)– I am a huge sucker for all things soft, dainty, and vintage! So when I got a call from a stranger who had the brainchild of a vintage rental company in New Orleans, I just knew that I had to learn more about her and the company she called Mrs. Vintage! After a coffee date with Mrs. Vintage herself, we decided that the best way to feature her items and her brand new company was to design a shoot around vintage romance! I grabbed one of my favorite photographers (Greer G) and one of my favorite couples (Lindsay and James) and we set a date to bring Mrs. Vintage to life! Below is the gorgeousness that we created for her debut!
Her inventory has grown immensely since the shoot! You just have to check out her latest finds at her website www.mrsvintagerentals.com!

A couple of months ago, I worked with some of my favorite vendors on a photo shoot that I designed around my family’s history in the oyster industry with the intent to use burlap (in which oysters are packaged) in a unique and interesting way! This morning, the Southern Wedding Magazine Blog shared some of their favorite burlap details from our shoot with their readers as a part of their Ultimate Burlap Challenge! Now, we need YOU to help us win the challenge by commenting on our feature on their blog! Help us win the (burlap) ribbon! Thank you, thank you!
My number one favorite thing about this industry is all of the amazing people I get the pleasure of working with! Have I told you lately that Greer of Greer G Photography is one of them?!
She wrote this SUPER SWEET blog post featuring Tying the Knot and compiled these awesome blog boards of all of our work together! I just had to share them!
{You may even notice a few new pictures that haven’t been released…brace yourself for that drama and beauty}
Have a great week everybody and happy engagement to all of you newly engaged bride-to-be’s!!
